The purpose of this study is to develop a theoretical-based indoor carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration prediction model. In addition, a prototype for predictive model validation was developed and laboratory-based performance evaluation was performed. A CO2 concentration prediction model was developed considering the outdoor air damper opening rate of the air handling unit. A prototype using Arduino and CO2 generator was produced for performance evaluation. And CO2 generator was constructed to simulate CO2 production according to the breathing of occupants. Three scenarios were constructed for the input method of the supply carbon dioxide concentration data, and 27 CASEs were constructed for the change of the input value. As a result of the performance evaluation, the MBE of Scenario 1 was -2.57, 2.02, and -3.84%, respectively, and the CvRMSE was 1.43, 4.08, and 1.02%, respectively. Scenario 2 showed MBE of -9.0, 1.96, and -5.96%, respectively, and CvRMSE of 4.94, 4.99, and 4.69%, respectively. Scenario 3 showed MBE of 3.11, 8.21, and 5.33%, respectively, and CvRMSE of 6.61, 11.38, and 9.07%, respectively. It can be seen that overall good prediction results are shown in all scenarios and CASEs. |
