요약2 Fault Detection and Diagnostic (FDD) is an effective method to manage building energy use by correcting the wrong operation or malfunction. However, there are still limitations in general adoption of FDD due to the technical shortage and high cost. Utilizing the public data in the building energy management is suggested as a way to overcome these limitations in this study. The current status of public data management was investigated and then a framework for developing the FDD service using public data was suggested. In addition, setting the data points with priorities was proposed for the affordable and effective establishment of FDD. To spread the FDD to general types of buildings, the more cost-effective services are needed, and the proposed framework that utilizing the public data of building energy will be a way to bridge the technical and economic gaps.
