요약2 Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis had been generalized for indoor environmental evaluation. Simplification of target model’s geographical information is crucial for numerical simulation as it determines the accuracy and cost of the analysis. Previous studies on building simplification are not suited for numerical simulation as they were aimed for visualization. Geography simplification method was developed by excluding minor faces. The applicability of the method on CFD analysis was evaluated considering number of meshes and air speed error. The complexity and computational cost of the CFD model were reduced as simplified. The error of airflow was controlled from 0.001 to 0.099 m/s by the threshold of simplification. Despite the possibility of error on curved surface or non-convex region, the simplification algorithm was expected to be effective in practical numerical simulation.
