요약2 The planar figure of the building envelope constitutes the basic document for building energy performance assessment. When the planar figure of the building envelope is drawn manually, accuracy of the building plan is lower and building energy performance assessment is less efficient. The purpose of this research is to develop an automatic extraction method and algorithm based on IFC that isolates required information from the planar figure of the building envelope, based on building energy performance criteria. To achieve the goal of this research, firstly, required information for building energy performance assessment will be determined and the existing literature review will be analyzed. Secondly, the extraction method and algorithm for required information, based on the planar figure of the building envelope will be developed following building energy-saving design criteria. Thirdly, the extraction method and algorithm for required information, will energy-saving eco-friendly housing construction criteria. The research result will make possible to improve not only the results accuracy of building energy performance assessment but also the process performance through the IFC-based envelop extraction method and algorithm based on the planar figure of the building envelope.
