요약2 Air mixing chamber in an air handling unit performs the role of mixing between return air and outdoor air. In general, it is assumed that RA and OA are fully mixed. However, in practice, incomplete mixing occurs and causes the temperature difference at the entrance of coil. It causes the problems such as the deterioration of heat exchange efficiency of coil and controllability. Furthermore, the outdoor air lower than freeze stat causes the freezing of coil in winter season. In order to solve these problems, this study intends to improve an air mixing ratio of air mixing chamber. CFD simulation and experiment were conducted for this purpose. The final design of air mixing chamber shows approximately 80% of air mixing ratio.
