요약2 This study is to compare the required construction cost of two methods in the application of the 'Design Standards of Green Buildings' in Seoul, which was revised in March 2016: 'Measure 1. Application of Building Energy Efficiency Rating' vs. 'Measure 2. Application of EPI Reduction Technology Items' as well as two methods of excellent rating certification of 'Green Construction Certification' which was revised in September 2016: 'Measure 1. Application of Regulation Level in Building Energy Efficiency Rating' vs. 'Measure 2. Upgrade Application of Regulation level of Building Energy Efficiency Rating'. The analysis results on the construction cost in a large-size apartment complex (more than 1,000 households), a mid-size (more than 500 households), and small-size (less than 100 households) built by the Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation, in recent years, showed that 'Measure 1. Application of Building Energy Efficiency Rating' was more economical by approximately KRW 1,200,000 to 2,000,000 per household in the case of mid to large size apartment complexes and KRW 800,000 for small size apartment complex as compared to 'Measure 2, the application of EPI Reduction Technology Items' regarding the application of 'Green Buildings Design Standards' in Seoul. The analysis results also showed that 'Measure 2, Upgrade Application of Regulation level of Building Energy Efficiency Rating' increased construction costs according to level-upgrade adjustments regarding the excellent rating acquisition method of the 'Green Building Certification', but the mandatory design items were reduced. Thus, it is necessary to compare 'Required Construction Cost when Upgrading the Level of Energy Efficiency Rating' vs. 'Required Construction Cost when Reducing the Mandatory Design Items according to Energy Efficiency Rating Upgrade' for future study.
