요약2 Load shape parameter is used to identify and quantify building energy performance. Also, Overlay load profiling can be used as an indicator to investigate the gap between a base load and a peak load, and to compare building’s operation of weekday and weekend. The purpose of this paper is to analyze of the characteristics of buildings by making energy load parameter and overlay load profiling. Energy usage data is from eleven buildings for various purpose during cooling season. These buildings are categorized 3 type. Type 1 buildings show typical daytime building operation, and clearly appear lunch time load during 12:00~13:00. And also type 1 buildings show significantly difference between weekday and weekend. Type 2 buildings show similar characteristic of Type 1, but they do not show the descent load during lunch time. Type 3 buildings does not show specific peaks and patterns. As a result of building classification using energy load parameters and overlay load profiling, we found that building usage does not match with energy consumption patterns. It could be suggested to develope energy saving strategies according to the characteristics of building operation, not building usage.
