요약2 The main purpose of this paper is to suggest the application of Health Risk Assessment method to indoor air quality evaluation to consider the potential of the quantitative health index as an IAQ evaluation index. Health Risk Assessment(HRA) is a method that can evaluate the health impact of various pollutants quantitatively. HRA is a concept that is mainly handled in medical studies, and documented by US EPA. It consists of four steps: hazard identification, dose-response assessment, exposure assessment, and risk characterization. This study tried to apply a simple numerical model including physical environment estimation model and spray usage scenario, which can predict indoor contaminant emission from building material and daily usage of spray to exposure assessment step of HRA method. According to the survey, the usage pattern of spray in daily life had a large deviation. So two version of scenarios, upper 30% and average, was evaluated and compared. And the target VOCs were limited to toluene and benzene. The result of numerical analysis and HRA showed a significant difference between the two scenarios. The non-carcinogenic health risk, Hazard Quotient of benzene had a higher value than that of toluene despite the higher LADD(Lifetime Average Daily Dose) value of toluene. And the carcinogenic health risk, ECR(Excess Cancer Risk) of benzene was above the EPA’s guideline.
