요약2 As most people spend more than 90% of their time in buildings, conditions of indoor environment have a very large impact on occupants comfort and health. In particular, thermal comfort is an important factor that influences worker productivity and the demand of air conditioning systems. In these days VRF(Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems are used in small commercial and residential buildings. However, VRF system might not provide appropriate thermal comfort for residents because this systems only consider temperature as a control parameter. In this study, we develop a comfort control algorithm to increase occupant’s thermal comfort, taking into consideration indoor temperature and humidity. The developed algorithm are verified in a test-bed. The methodologies in this study have four steps. First, a simulation model for a test-bed and the VRF system is established using the EnergyPlus. Second, the model is validated using actual measured data such as indoor dry-bulb temperature and humidity ratio. Third, thermal comfort control ranges are investigated using the analysis model. Finally, operational characteristics are studied along with conventional a set temperature control. The performance of the VRF system with the comfort algorithm are studied in terms of thermal comfort and energy. The experimental results showed much increased thermal comfort in cooling mode compared to a set temperature control.
