The energy consumption of buildings in Korea amounts to 25 percent of the total consumption. As the activation of building energy savings, the mandatory of zero energy is preparing to implement in 2025. In this paper, the respective technologies that are able to considerably reduce the energy demands for heating, cooling, hot-water supply, lighting and ventilation among the variety of technologies were selected and the effects for applications of each technology were evaluated quantitatively. For this study, the applied technologies for 'Green Home' which was built in the middle of 2000s were analyzed and design factors such as external insulation, triple glazing window, LED lighting, external venetian blind, geothermal and heat recovery ventilator were derived. In addition, energy saving effects in terms of energy demand, energy consumption and energy expenditure were investigated using EnergyPlus, building energy analysis tool. It can be seen that high insulated triple glazing window, heat recovery ventilator and external insulation technology is excellent for energy demand and geothermal system is most savable for energy consumption. In terms of sunlight, power generation capacity and saving costs are maximized when the installation angle is 30°. It can be attributed to solar altitude. |
