요약2 Recently modular constructions are used for not only public buildings like schoolhouse, dormitories, etc. but also residential buildings or commercial buildings. Prefabricated modular housing is a construction method that after 70~90% production of all processes at a factory, assembling and finishing construction works are conducted at sites. The construction elements of modular unit are assembled by welding and bolts using metal frames and studs. So this structure has many problems which are thermal insulation, air tightness, condensation resistance, floor impact sound insulation and sound insulation of walls. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the environmental performance of Mock-up model for building the prefabricated modular housings. This study set up the criteria for living performance and proposed the design of modular housing for small households. Mock-up model was built for testing the environmental performance as residential building. The major results are as follows. The thermal insulation performance of external wall used in the Mock-up model was evaluated as excellent one. The air tightness performance of one modular unit type was 4.7-7.0 ACH50 and that of two modular unit was 5.2-6.0 ACH50. The air tightness showed to be similar to the performance of apartment houses. The condensation resistance was evaluated by temperature difference ratio(TDR) and the TDR of corner walls was less than 0.2 of design criteria. The sound performance for light-weight impact sound source was 1 grade and The insulation performance for heavy-weight impact sound source was evaluated to be 3 grade.
