요약2 The purpose of this paper is to study effectiveness of natural ventilation alarm device which can improve indoor air quality(IAQ) and residents' thermal comfort in brief way like opening windows to bring some natural ventilation. To prove performance of the alarm device, we set it and data loggers in a real apartment building since 2014 April 14th to July 15th. With analyzed dry-bulb, relative humidity data, we calculated predicted mean vote(PMV), response coefficient and amount of energy saving. Calculated PMV and response coefficient show not only residents' psychological demand for thermal comfort or IAQ but thermal acceptability. Through predicted amount of saved energy, finally, effectiveness of this device can be proved.
