| 요약2 | The light is one of the most important factors in architecture. It creates the depth of space and shadow. It enables people to perceive the space. Therefore, it enables to experience architectural form and space. Many architects had suggested various methods to create better indoor environment in architecture with the natural light. This paper tried to examine the works of Alvar Aalto and to analyze how to control the light in his works and design processes. It will help to know how Alvar Aalto created different characteristics to spaces by the light. According to this study, various shapes of toplight systems were used as the major design elements for the control of natural light. |
