The objective of this study is to research the architectural environment of Hanok(Korean traditional house) which is felt by residents in Hanok village located in Goseong, Gangwon-do. Also it aimed to examine the influence of Ondol(Korean floor heating system) which is one of the characteristics of Hanok housing on human's skin temperature. The results are like below. The first, most of the residents showed satisfaction more than average with heat, air and light environment. The second, aspect of sound environment, there were less noise from outside as most of the region is far away from the downtown and roads. They recognized that there were some noise in livingroom and rooms and between rooms. The third, the decline of interior air temperature caused by drafts can cause loss of heat. It is required to secure airtightness between windows/doors and door crevice. The fourth, there were tiny changes of skin temperature on Ondol and bed. It is considered that the influence of living on Ondol on human body will be a little different from the one of living on bed on human body. The fifth, Just like the results of this study, it is required to put more efforts into development of the actual technologies in the areas of architectural environment with which residents can be satisfied among the characteristics found from traditional Hanok. |
