In the recent years, many people focus on improving quality of life. On the other hand, the light pollution problem has grown more serious such as strong glare of vehicle headlight at night-time. However, light pollution due to automative headlight has not been solved yet. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the glare of the lower part of apartment, which is caused by automotive headlight coming from the underground parking lot. RADIANCE program was used to evaluate glare and evaluation of the results were expressed as the luminance and UGR (Unified Glare Rating). As a result, The glare of the apartment at the lower part was increased by approaching headlight, when trees were not in front the apartment. However, the glare was decreased except for the third floor, when trees were in front of the apartment. |
