| 요약2 | The light is one of the most important factors in architecture. It creates the depth of space and shadow. It enables people to perceive the space. Therefore, it enables to experience the visual plastic effect. Many architects had suggested various methods to create optimum environment conditions in architecture through using the light. This paper tried to examine the works of Louis I. Khan and to analyze how to control the light in his works and design processes. It will help to know how Khan created different characteristics to architectural spaces by the light. According to this study, light cylinder, light well, light blades and sky light were the major elements to control the light in his works. |
