요약2 Building energy saving has been one of our greatest concerns due to the energy crisis and global warming. In this respect, building energy code is gradually getting stricker than that in any other time. As the thickness of the insulation required to satisfy the reinforced regulation is getting larger, the existing resistive insulations such as polystyrene foam board or fiberglass matt could barely be used in a single material constitution. This study presents the possibility of complex insulating wall combination using reflective insulation. Reflective insulation works when it faces air spaces and its surface has low emissivity under 0.05. In this study, the variables affecting the thermal resistance of reflective insulation were investigated. and the calculating methods for the thermal resistance of reflective air space and the solid wall structures were studied through literature survey. This study shows the possible complex insulation wall combinations suitable for the reinforced exterior wall insulating regulations. The configuration contains exterior insulation using reflective insulation in addition to the existing interior insulation.
