Recently, new building and remodeling of the library is going on the increase. The quality of air in libraries has been deteriorated due to frequent uses of chemical substances for construction material and furniture and poor vantilation. It is really important to keep fresh air quality in the children's library, because it is fully developed children's strong immune systems. There are a few studies about the air quality of libraries for adults, which are not mention children's library. The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlations between the indoor air quality and the construction conditions of the children's library. The contents include measured density of pollutants of CO, CO2, HCHO, TVOC according to constructive conditions like environmental features, architectural materials for interior design and furnituring, and analyzed correlations between them. The subjects of the study are 7 public children's libraries in Incheon. |
