요약2 The present study carried out all relevant analyses using LCC methods to select optimal thermal systems applicable to small and medium size buildings, and its important result is as follows; In regarding to life cycle costs summed up according to a scale and system of each building structure, Proposal1 'Air Cooling EHP System', Proposal3 'Absorption Chiller', Proposal2 'Water Source EHP System' and Proposal4 ' Ice Storage System coupled with Hot Water System' are proven highly efficient in order. Until recent days comprehensive LCC methods for general small and medium size buildings, have been excluded. But preceding studies found out that overall costs from the start and completion of construction to demolition of building structures are widely different according to application of different analysis systems. Therefore the present study found that an optimal system must be chosen through examining and analysing comprehensively in the initial stage of construction regardless of a scale of building structures.
